A complete fighting system.
Forged in tradition. Proven in combat.

Lama Boxing is the authentic transmission of Lama Pai — brought to New York City by Grandmaster Chan Tai San and carried forward through the combat teaching of Sifu Steve Ventura. This is a full-range system of long-power striking, close-quarter precision, and real full-contact conditioning.

The System

Three Pillars of Lama Boxing

Pillar One

Authentic Lineage

Rooted in the Tibetan "Lion's Roar" tradition, Lama Pai was carried to New York City by Grandmaster Chan Tai San — a direct, unbroken transmission, not a reconstruction. Every technique taught here traces back to a living lineage, not a book.

Pillar Two

Long-Range Power

Lama Boxing is built on whipping mechanics — the fluid, generative power of Gwa, Choy, and Sau, and the wheeling strike patterns that give the style its reach and its snap. Power generated from structure, not muscle alone.

Pillar Three

Full-Contact Sanda

Lama Boxing is tested — not theorized. Sanda sparring, throwing, and combat conditioning ensure every form translates into real-world, full-contact fighting ability.
